Getting things done a bit here and there, and real decent weather to boot, and a Happy Thanksgiving too.

Where are we today ?
Not much new here just putting in time and enjoying some pretty nice weather. Also like the 2 weeks of free ( no overnight fees) camping that our membership parks give us. So we pay $10, dollars for a wash permit we think that is a pretty good deal.
Morning walkabouts checking out this park. Couple years ago when we were here they were building some new rental cabins. All done now and really look wonderful. Check them out below.
love the view from the cabins
more small cabins by the lake
boat launch ramp
beach volley ball court
Into town for a new water filter for our coach. and changed it out, was time.
you know you are in Texas when all the pickup
 trucks look like this.
Just puttered around for a while, change the water filter, and found a leak in our shower. Need a new faucet here. Down the road to the RV dealer and picked a new shower faucet. Gonna be  a major job and will wait until friday or saturday before I attack this project, will need most of a day for this one..
Time to veg out a bit, enjoy our e-readers in the shade this afternoon. Temps about 70f so shorts and t shirt weather, really loving it.
very hard not to enjoy this view
Now eventually I get to do my thing. Make supper. Tonight gonna grill some store made chicken sausage we picked up on Abbeville Louisiana the other day, (It was so good, wish I had bought more). Grill three tiny red/white and blue potatoes each and whip up a tasty salad.
Now for those who asked the blue potatoes are blue inside too. Check out the pic below. They taste just like a regular potato but add color to your meal. Best if they are roasted or baked, if you boil them apparently they turn kinda grey, not very appealing.
very tasty again, nothing quite
 like a home cooked meal
We enjoyed another wonderful relaxing day here in Texas with excellent weather.
Wanna thank ya'll again for stopping on by.

And for those who asked Ma is progressing, no longer in ICU. One day at a time.

Oh I did not mention tomorrow is Thanksgiving day here. We get to it again. In Canada in October and here in November. Wow are we lucky. The resort it putting out Turkey, Ham and other things the rest is a pot luck, looking forward to it.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

  1. Being able to have two Thanksgiving dinners can be dangerous. I've never seen blue potatoes. Hmmm.

  6. Looks like a nice campground and I have to guess that those Texas pick ups had a gun rack in them :-)
