Our coach passed the E test today, good for two more years, yippee!

Where are we today ?
Sunshine again this morning. Our patio faces east across the 5 acres of lawn and we get to watch the sunrise every morning. Mind you the skyline is a few houses in the distance and the Plattsville water tower, but its far away we don't care.
Had to get an E Test (Emissions test) on our Motorhome today. Here in Ontario it is required every two years before we can renew our Tags (Licence stickers) and we need to pass. So off to Hickson Motors (tiny village down the road) and get er done. First test we failed! But the second one we passed with flying colors. Pretty good for our coach 15 years old that runs like a dream. Yep we happy!
nice country drive to Hickson about 15 minutes
In the shop for the test
hooked up to the computer
Well we did pass the E test another cash grab for the Ontario government ($113.00 dollars) now we can get our tag $90.00 a year. Really not too bad compared to what some of our American friends pay in some states.
Now back to camp awesome set up and a bite to eat for lunch. The weather is nice enough that we can enjoy, sitting outside and readingour books. Need a warm coat, long pants, shoes and socks but really not too bad=no wind here. And we had the dogs with us here all afternoon, bonus. Suzie got her doggie fix again!
treats for Molly and Buddy
they are watching for squirrels
on the run trying to catch a squirrel
can't get that squirrel, up that tree
In all the years I do not think they have ever caught a squirrel, but they sure do get their exercise chasing them.
Then this afternoon we had a helicopter fly over a few times , very low he was following the Nith river. I believe they are looking for some missing people or children in the river because of the high water levels. Have not checked the local news lately so don't know for sure. Hope not. Too early to look for marijuana plants in the fields.
chopper right above our coach
couple more treats for Suzie's doggie fix
With a nice mild day about 50f and no wind we can fire up our Weber Q again!! Fillet Mignon, grilled shrimp, baked taters, mushrooms and onions, and a small can of creamed corn for Suzie, not for me though something I cannot eat. I had a tossed salad instead.

so nice to grill on our Q again!
Two days in a row with pretty decent weather. Not shorts weather yet but at least we not freezing here.
Thanks again for stopping by , hope you had a pretty decent day too. And remember to have a Happy Tuesday.

    1. Hickson Motors has done ours since 2007, the only place handy for us.

  4. I heard if you don't pass the E test you have to eat a large can of cream corn for breakfast everyday for a week.

  5. Congratulations on getting that "E" test behind you and great that you have two more years before you have to worry about it again. Your meal sure looks good. Here's hoping the wind stays away for a while.

  6. That's pretty cool you heat the corn up in the can! We will have to try that!
I know you are relieved about the MH.
Our pups like to chase squirrels too. Well, there aren't any squirrels here so now they chase the lizards!

    1. Heat up various things in the can saves a dirty pot.
Even those lizards are pretty quick too.

  7. Is your coach OBD 2 compliant? Ours was only OBD 1, so my tester wouldn't read a thing. They had to shove a sensor in the tailpipe for the E-test. Always passed. Bit of a joke really.

    1. Much different this year, hooked it to the computer, only to see the RPM on his monitor, take pics of the VIN, the dash board and rear of coach and the sensor in the tailpipe. He did not read the codes not necessary on coach older than 2007, good thing because I just had them all cleared at the garage. Either way its a cash grab.

  8. I don't understand why the RV never passed the first test but then did the second. What happened the second time vs the first time?

    1. The computer did not say why.But it gives you the option of a second test. The second test was a much longer high speed and idle test .

    2. Good thing you got the option of the second test. You passed :) Gold star for the RV.

  10. Glad u folks are experiencing something resembling spring. I awoke to snow. With the freezing rain we had the roads will have been salted, so that curtails my bike riding for a bit :( Nice lookin' pups BTW!

  12. Congrats on passing the E-test! Dinner (as usual) looks yummy. (I'm not a fan of creamed corn either and would have opted for a salad too!)
