Forever Marilyn, met more fellow Bloggers, and a Happy Valentines Day too!

Where are we today ?
Very warm night last night, but with bedroom windows open and our Fantastic fan running was great for sleeping.
The usual up before the sunrise, computing and coffees then a nice walkabout the resort. Sure do love this weather.
looking west to the wind generators, no wind today
After my early morning grocery run we decided to take a short drive into Palm Springs, before it got too hot. Still needed the AC on in the car. Busy on Palm Canyon drive, and art festival this weekend.
Our destination was to see the Statue of Marilyn Monroe. "Forever Marilyn" 26 feet tall and 34,000 pounds on display at the NW corner of Palm Canyon Dr and Tahquitz Canyon Way. You can read about this sculpture HERE if you wish. I believe it will soon be moved to another location. An impressive statue it is with excellent detail.
Thats me down there

past the wind generators, no wind today
Back home for lunch and puttered around for a bit. Then a walk about to drop in and meet fellow Bloggers and rver's Joe and Betty right here in Catalina spa Resort. You can check them out here Joe and Bettys' Adventures.
They are in the upper campground here across for the upper clubhouse and family pools.
Not hard to find them and we stopped by for a 5 minute visit to meet them, Ended up about 90 minutes and sharing stories and just having too much fun, meeting these great people.,. But as the day heated up and not much shade there we headed back home, sure that we will meet them again when in this area or maybe even on the road somewhere.
Joe and Betty
We have a wonderful shady site, perfect for this hot weather. So got our books out for a bit
my book today
Suzie's new book today
Now remember we pick up these used books usually for about one dollar each and exchange them at a lot of places 2 for one. Sure makes for inexpensive entertainment reading real books that we enjoy.
Enjoying our books in the shade for a while then time for a soak in the hot tub and refreshing swim in the wonderful pool they have here.
Next on the agenda cut up this monster 6 lb chicken I picked up on sale at Von's only .79 cents a lb.
cut it up a froze half on it.
our Weber Q 100 did a perfect job and
a couple baked potatoes
Added some steamed broccoli "Swiss Chalet dipping sauce"sliced tomatoes and shared a
fresh baked bun. Hit the spot and lots of leftovers too.
so tasty, yep we love chicken on our Weber Q
That was another fun day here with perfect winter, 90f, sunshine, no wind, meeting fellow bloggers and natural hot springs. Do it get much better? Think not.
Perfect for a Happy Valentines gift to each other.

  3. It was a hot day and I am not sure that trying to get a little shade from Marilyn would have worked to cool you off. LOL

Your Weber Q got another really good workout! Dinner looked inviting.

Another fine meal made on the Weber Q.
Isn't it typical that it's the guy who is always trying to look under a woman's dress. LOL!
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.
